In the Constitution of India, the country has been declared a sovereign socialist secular democratic republic. The Constitution also gives the right to establish and administer educational institutions of their choice to all minority groups based on religion or language.
2. In the context of the social and economic background of the minority groups, many schemes are being run by the department with the aim of resolving their specific problems and bringing them into the mainstream of the nation and society by developing their education, social and economic development. The Minority Welfare Department is committed to the implementation, operation and coordination of such schemes.
